About In-Folio

In-Folio is an easy to use, uniquely accessible e-portfolio application developed especially for use by and with learners with learning difficulties and disabilities. In-Folio is open-source and freely available for specialist colleges and selected organisations who are piloting it. In-Folio has been created and developed by the Rix Centre for JISC TechDis with the UK's leading specialist colleges.

The Rollout Tour

During July 2009 representatives from the Rix Centre and JISC TechDis took the specially developed In-Folio  on the road for a series of National rollout events across the country. The one day events took place at six of the countries leading specialist colleges and included hands-on multimedia workshops, In-Folio demonstrations and inspirational presentations about the cutting edge ways in which new media technologies can transform the lives of students with learning disabilities.

The planning for the rollout tour was kicked off in May 2009 with a meeting in Birmingham, between representatives from the Rix Centre, TechDis and the six specialist colleges :
